Dance Music Kingpins Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, collectively known as the elite Knife Party, are now within touching distance of their highly anticipated album Abandon Ship. How do we know this? And secondly, Swire just uploaded an explosive new teaser of their first single from the album called ‘Boss mode‘!

Rob Swire, had been facing a lot of heat from Knife Party die hard fans for his absence from recent performances. The last the duo graced the stage together was at Tomorrowland. However, Swire then clarified that he was taking a temporary leave of absence from touring to focus more on album production, as it is virtually impossible to do both. Promising his return alongside Gareth come Electric Zoo, he then uploaded a bomb teaser in the preview of their upcoming album.

Boss mode’ is one of those album preview tracks that drops you’re jaw at the mere sound of its teaser and make a you rush towards a calendar and bookmark entire days in anticipation. The teaser launches with a church bell kind of intro making way for a distorting bassline that only increases in tension and becomes all the more sinister. The drop includes an evil intense breakdown synth that culminates the teaser leaving you begging for more. But don’t take our word for it, have a listen in and tell us what you think!
