We all know Deadmau5 digs techno. After posting a 2 hour techno set on his website, and his set at UMF, Miami earlier this year which contained a fair share of techno tracks for a mainstage performance, the mau5 is back to give us a taste of the new direction he’s probably heading towards.
Playing at Cream Ibiza’s 20th anniversary, deadmau5 treated his fans to a surprise techno set at the club. Later tweeting about the whole experience, the outspoken DJ and producer appeared to have taken a sly dig at Paris Hilton with “Cleaned the foam up“. referring to her “Foams & Diamonds” residency at the club.
He also promised the fans that he’ll “get it in [our] hot little hands soon.”
Of late Deadmau5 has been shifting towards techno, after being quite vocal against the state of dance music and its commercial nature. He also released a techno track under his other moniker, testpilot under Richie Hawtin‘s label, Plus 8. Continuing his tour Europe and the UK, let’s hope Joel has more of his techno side for us.
